For step 2 we have chosen chapter 7 from "Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban".
This is when Harry and his classmates meet "The Boggart" a shape-shifter that lives in a magic wardrobe and takes the shape of whatever scares a person most.
We even watched a short clip from the film
.
Next my students wrote down their fears and dreams.
MY HOPES AND DREAMS MY FEARS AND MY ANXIETIES
We put then everything together and create this final video:
In the end we shared our hopes and dreams with our partners form Greece and Croatia.
- The e-twinning project was very useful and interesting. I learned a lot, more than I expected, and I think it was a good idea to meet other guys from other countries who study English. It was also a lot of fun to communicate with them and talk about our dreams and fears, and we also got to know each other better.
- It was very nice to talk other people online and ask them questions about school or fears and dreams.
- The best thing I appreciated about this project was the opportunity of meeting some people in other parts of the world, it’s incredible!! A lot of European schools collaborate together to make the world smaller.
In my opinion, this is something we should do more frequently, it helps us to be less shy!!
It was fun because we had some meeting with other countries like Croatia and Greece. We talked about our school, city, our dream, fears and some other things, it was really interesting. I really liked this opportunity to talk whit other people from other places, it wasn’t easy because we have different accents, ages and sometimes the Internet wasn’t the best, so we didn't understand what they were saying but even if there were these small inconveniences I think that it was a great experience!
- Personally I think this was an amazing experience and a great opportunity to test and train English!
The scene from Harry Potter is really showing how one person's fear can terrify him/her but when you confront it in a ...certain way , it can go away and never trouble you again...NICE WORK guys!
