STEP 3 - forum activity
What's a true friend? Can books actually help us in making friends? And what are the best books about friendship you've ever read?
All of these questions - and many more - in our forum section!
STEP 1: Introductions forum (January)
The first step of our project refers to the classic quote "Nosce te ipsum": in order to promote wellbeing with our classmates and our partners, we have first of all to get to know ourselves, both in our positive and negative aspects.
Understanding the complexity of ourselves enables us to understand and accept the complexity of the other, without prejudices, without patronising, without refusal, but accapting others in their entirety. In this way we will develop empathy, open minded attitude, ability to welcome others: getting to know ourselves in order to get to know the others.
Via books, we get to know characters, situations, adventures, problems, so that we can widen our personal experiences in getting to know and understand each other.
Reading is our way to personal understanding.
Let's go!
“… chi siamo noi, chi è ciascuno di noi se non una combinatoria d'esperienza, d'informazioni, di letture, d'immaginazioni? Ogni vita è un'enciclopedia, una biblioteca, un inventario di oggetti, un campionario di stili, dove tutto può essere continuamente rimescolato e riordinato in tutti i modi possibili.”
